EFFECTS OF REACTOR RADIATION ON THE PROPERTIES OF MIX BIS (PHENOXYPHENYL) ETHER OPERATING IN A HYDRAULIC PUMP LOOP

Abstract

an experimental hydraulic fluid, mix bis(phenoxyphenyl) ether, was irradiated under operational environmental conditions imposed by a hydraulic pump loop. A ground test reactor was used to provide a mixed neutron-gamma radiation field. The fluid was exposed to an average dose of 2.7 x 10 to the 10th power ergs/gm(C) of gamma radiation.
