FORMATION OF SILICON SPHERES FOR THE MULTI-ELEMENT LARGE AREA SOLAR CELL
Abstract
Experimental methods for producing and evaluating Si spheroids suitable for use in photovoltaic cells are described. Also described are methods for processing separate spheroids into separate photovoltaic cells and arrays. Results of measurements on such cells are reported. The present experimental difficulties are given, conclusions and comments are presented as to the feasibility of mechanizing most of the procedure, in order to give inexpensive solar cells. (Author)
