ADDITIONAL COMMENTS ON A TECHNIQUE FOR OBTAINING THE ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY/VELOCITY PROFILE

Abstract

Measurement of the electrical conductivity/velocity profile of a plasma sheath appears possible by the use of transducers of suitable design. A transducer is characterized by a set of influence functions. Mathematical criteria are esta lished to measure the degree of independence of these functions. Three transducers are described and the performance of each is analyzed. Results of the measurement of a known conductivity/vel city profile are discussed. (Author)
