SUBROC INERTIAL GUIDANCE SLED TEST PROGRAM

Abstract

Id ntifiers: SUBROC. Research is pr sented on the SUBROC inertial guidance sled test program co ducted at he Supersonic Naval Ordnance Research Track (SNORT) at the Naval Ordnance Test Station. The program was designed to obtain engineering performance data on t e missile guidance and control sy tem under an environment of sustained acceleration and vibr ion similar to those xpecte during launch and boost phases of the SUBROC missile flight trajectory. Three instrumentation checkout runs and 8 guidance tests w re performed. est result de onstrate the op n loop operation of the guidance system under simulated flight conditions. Data was obtained for use in t e over-all evaluation of guidance packag oper tion and p rformance. (Author
