AOMC CLIMATOLOGICAL RINGBOOK. PART XVII. EMPIRICAL FREQUENCY DISTRIBUTIONS OF WIND COMPONENTS AT CONSTANT ALTITUDE LEVELS, FAIRBANKS, ALASKA

Abstract

Climatological parameters of scalar wind , onal and meridional win components, semiplanar winds and wind shear at 1 km altitude intervals for the loc ion Fairbanks, A LASKA ARE PRESENTED. he frequency distributions were establis ed for the 12 monthly and the annual reference periods with values of cumulative percen age frequency correspo ding to the mean and plus and inus one, wo and three sigma levels of normal distribution.
