ELECTRON BEAM ANALYZER
Abstract
A universal electron beam analyzer has been v lope to r i v loci y d curr t i y v riations in all ypes of electron gun . uni consists of a l rge bell jar containing measurement equipment and an adjustable mounting mechanism for the electron gun. External controls llow axial and tr nsverse displacement of the electron gun. A high capacity ion pumping system is a tached to he bell jar through a six-inch manifold. Vacuum gauges and a complete metering system are part of the unit and a pulser rated at 2000 volts and a v ri bl u y cycl of 1 2 d 5 percent wi h a repetition rate of 100, 200, 00 and 500 cps respec ively are part of the auxiliary equipment. Typical results obtained from various electron guns analyzed in the equipment are given indicating t e over-all versatili y of the unit. ( UTHOR)
