INITIAL-BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS FOR LINEAR HYPERBOLIC PARTIAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS OF THE SECOND ORDER

Abstract

A complete and self-contained treatment of the initial-boundary value problem for a class of linear hyperbolic partial differential equations of the second order is presented. Many conceps and techniques are incorporated and extended. The most basic of the new results is the domain of dependence inequality, which is the keystone of the theory. (Author)
