AN INVESTIGATION OF THE CRACK-PROPAGATION RESISTANCE OF HIGH-STRENGTH ALLOYS AND HEAT-RESISTANT ALLOYS

Abstract

The crack-propagation properties and standard tensile properties of the Nb-base alloy FS-82 sheet and unalloyed W sheet are given. The properties of FS-82 sheet were investigated throughout the temperature range -320 to 1400 F; the properties of unalloyed tungsten sheet were investigated throughout the temperature range 75 to 2200 F.
