A PRESSURE-SENSITIVE DETECTOR FOR USE IN SHOCK-VELOCITY MEASUREMENTS IN SHOCKTUBES AND TUNNELS
Abstract
A pressure-sensitive detector is described. Two novel features of the design of the detector are the absence of soldered connections to the transducer, and the quick-change components of the working parts. The latter feature enables one to select the type of material and the thickness of the diaphragm to suit the pressure and temperature ranges expected to be encountered. (Author)
