A DESCRIPTION OF FORCED-OSCILLATION BALANCE

Abstract

The basic theory and application of the Propulsion Wind Tunnel forced-oscillation balance are presented. Included are a description of the physical components, the theory of the control and readout system, a derivation of the associated stability parameters, and a brief discussion of the mechanical and hydraulic performance criteria. Also presented are the procedures pertinent to calibration and operation and a derivation of equations for determining the various precisions of measurement. (Author)
