DEVELOPMENT OF SUPPLY CONTROL PROCEDURES FOR THE DEFENSE GENERAL SUPPLY CENTER

Abstract

The assumptions used and mathematical derivations obtained in the supply control plan devised for the Defense General Supply Center (DGSC) are presented. The treatment is directed at the person with some mathematical training although an attempt was made to verbalize all of the mathematical steps wherever possible so that the reader with severely limited mathematical experience may at least follow the logic involved. It is not intended as a procedures manual. Graphical illustrations of the mathematical optimization procedure are included. (Author)
