INFAB PROCESSING OF TZM SHEET
Abstract
A literature survey supported the selection of TZM alloy for this program as the best commercial Mo base alloy. Vacuum arc, single melted ingots are recommended. The benefits of hot forging both as-cast and extruded billets are reviewed. Both practices are recommended for initial evaluation. Advantages of conducting all elevated temperature fabrication in an inert atmosphere are discussed. A preliminary program outline and schedule of the complete outline is included. (Author)
