RADAR ELECTRONICS CIRCUITRY UTILIZING TUNNEL DIODES

Abstract

It has been concluded that for microwave applications lumped-element analyses will not suffice. Even the widely used approximations (which have led to much successful synthesis in passive microwave circuitry over limited operating frequency ranges) must be discarded in favor of a broader point of view which will define the properties of a circuit over the entire frequency spectrum from dc to diode cutoff. Failure to achieve this definition leaves a serious doubt as to the eventual adequacy of the design. (Author)
