HEAT DIODE CONVERTER

Abstract

Work on the thermionic emission properties of refractory materials in cesium vapor progressed and some new features of the behavior of refractory metals in high cesium pressure were observed. Measurement was continued of saturation emission currents in a cesium plasma anode discharge tube. The electron reflection measurement technique proved satisfactory, and a set of experiments for copper are reported. A complete set of measurements was taken for the thermal conductivity of cesium vapor. A complete analysis was carried out for all the previously done measurements of the evaporation of molybdenum in cesium vapor. (Author)
