Influence of Deflection of the Control Surfaces on the Free-Flight Behaviour of an Aeroplane.

Abstract

The influence of the non-linear effects on the flight behaviour of modern high-performance aircraft under control inputs is demonstrated withA NUMBER OF SYSTEMATIC CALCULATIONS. These illustrate the coupling effects with various symmetrical and unsymmetrical control inputs at different Mach numbers and altitudes. In addition, the effects of changing the aerodynamic derivatives, of the engine gyroscopic couple, and of the ratio of moments of inertia are demonstrated. (Author)
