AN AUTOMATIC LINE FOR MEASUREMENT OF THE REFLECTION FACTOR IN A K-BAND

Abstract

A description is given of an automatic measuring instrument to determine, with an accuracy of + or - 10%, the frequency responses of mismatching in the interval of frequencies from 20%. In the process of carrying out band measurements, there is no need for tuning any elements of the highfrequency system instrument. The pattern of the standing wave in the waveguide is indicated on the oscilloscope of the instrument. Automatic measurements of the reflection factor considerably relieve the process of matching different waveguide couplings. While the requirements for the accuracy of measurement of K-band factor are not great, the simplicity of measurement and the rate of analysis of the frequency dependencies of the reflection factor on the waveguide coupling under examination are important.
