OPEN-WATER TESTS OF COUNTERROTATING PROPELLERS 3808 AND 3809 FOR AN ESCORT RESEARCH SHIP

Abstract

The results are presented of open-water evaluation tests of a set of model counterrotating propellers for an escort research ship. These tests were conducted for forward ship motion with locked and unlocked shafts and normal and reverse rotation. Thrust and torque coefficients, over a range of speed coefficients, are given for each condition. (Author)
