INITIAL SURVEY OF PUBLISHED WORK IN THE FIELD OF CARBON MONOXIDE OR OTHER DIATOMIC MOLECULAR GASES WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO POSSIBLE SENSING SYSTEMS

Abstract

The provision of a carbon monoxide sensor as a novel and necessary new item of research equipment is discussed. Primary emphasis is placed on possible means of achieving a practical sensor design; appendices include the basic derivations and terminology peculiar to the fields of chemical and molecular physics, with accent on molecular spectrography. Bio-physical aspects and other possible uses are noted. A complete table of constants as a possible design basis is included in the main text and amplified in the appendices. (Author)
