TOWARDS A THEORY OF THREATS

Abstract

The relevance of game theory models of competitive situations encountered in international military-political situations is discussed. Many of the difficulties encountered in the construction of relevant formal models of conflict are noted. A basic program is suggested for the construction of more formal theories taking into account features of special relevance to threat and enforcement mechanisms. (Author)
