PIEZOELECTRIC CONVERTER INVESTIGATION

Abstract

R ESEARCH IS PRE ENTED ON HE DEVELOPMENT OF A PIEZOELECTRIC ELECTROACOUSTIC ENERGY CONVERTER, WHICH WILL CONVERT WITH MAXIMUM FFICIENCY THE ENERGY IN AN ACOUSTIC FIELD ON HE ORD R OF !+ DB. The electrical outpu must be nominally 100 vdc. It erve as a basic introduction to the principles involved and presents an analysis of the conventional thickness mode transducer. I is pre ented using the rationalized MKS system of units which is especially desirable when working wit equivalent circuits. A schematic representation is derived and analyzed. (Author)
