PART I. THEORY OF FLUCTUATIONS IN A PLASMA. PART II. WAVE PROPERTIES OF A PLASMA WITH A DOUBLY-HUMPED VELOCITY DISTRIBUTION

Abstract

A theory of electron density fluctuations in a two component plasma of electrons an positive ions is developed within the random phase approximation. An investigation of th properties of the growing waves in a uniform plasma with a doubly hu ped velocity di ribution is carried out by studyi g the charact r of t e boundary curves b twee growing w ves and damped waves.
