PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT MODEL 385 AIR REFUELING STORE

Abstract

Development of the Beech Model 385 Air Refueling Store continued. Additional endurance cycling was accomplished on the prototype store; however, attempts to operate at extreme low temperatures were unsuccessful. Detail investigation and component testing is in process to resolve problems related to low temperature operation. Addition l endurance testing was accomplished on P-2 store, with a total of 1500 response/fuel transfer cycles. Two attempts were made for operation at low mperature (-65 F) and resulted in inability of the store to extend. (Author)
