SOLID STATE MATRIX
Abstract
The basic purpose is to develop an efficient and practical solid state transmission link (electrical power control system) that will have positive advantages over the conventional electromechanical transmission links used in present-day aircraft. Primary emphasis is on reliability and long life. This report presents: (1) the analysis of the systems which will be made solid state; (2) the abstract logic for the solid state systems; (3) the evaluation of semiconductor devices for the solid state systems; and (4) the preliminary circuit design considerations.
