HIGH POWER MICROWAVE FERRITES AND DEVICES

Abstract

This report includes: Raytheon Co., Waltham, Mass. SPIN-WAVE INSTABILITY IN HEXAGONAL FERRITES WITH A PREFERENTIAL PLANE, by E. Schlomann, R. Joseph and I. Bady. 8 May 2 (Rept. no. T-358) (Contract DA 36-039-sc-85372) Raytheon Co., Waltham, Mass. INDUCED dc MAGNETIZATION IN THE PARALLEL PUMP EXPERIMENT, by T. Kohane and E. Schlomann. 22 Feb 62. (Rept. no. T-345) (Contract DA 36-039-sc-85372) Several simple theoretical models were investigated in the study of the influence of inhomogeneities on the ins ability threshold. Subsidiary absorption measurements on yttrium calcium tin iron garnet indicate a substantial increas in the relaxation rate over yttrium iron garnet. Garnets displaying temperature compensated magnetization were made from gadolinium iron garnet by partial substitution of chromium or indium for iron. The first of the two circulators was completed.
