THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN POINT AND LINE DEFECTS PRODUCED DURING PLASTIC DEFORMATION OF COPPER

Abstract

It is shown that for cold-worked copper the resistivity increase associated with point defects is proportional to the resistivity increment associated with line defects. These experiments verify the uncertainty principle of dislocation axes as applied to point defec formation. (Author)
