VHF QUARTZ CRYSTAL UNITS CR-(XM-38)/U 150 MC TO 200 MC
Abstract
Crystals manufactured on 5th harmonic have shown series resistances of from 85 to 110 ohms or above, typically, when measured in the test set AN/TSM-15. Holder inductance measurements reflect differences in RX meter performance, some of the measurements indicating passing values, others not. This is also true of the holder resistance. The standard test set AN/TSM-15 is effective for use at these frequencies, but is much more difficult to use than other test sets in the series. Th re is no provision for measurements of resistance above about 105 ohms. It will be difficult to make performance checks, such as TC runs, using this test set as a standard oscillator. (Author)
