The operational specifications of the CL-II Programming Sys em are presented in sufficient detail to allow comprehension of the ways and means of programming within the system framework. The discussion covers the fundamental concepts of the system, the control scheme, the means of communicating with the system, the initial or basic operations to be provided, and the characteristics of a user's run, while being mainly concerned with the usage criteria of the motivations for and implications of the fundamental aspects of the system.
