MOLYBDENUM ALLOY EXTRUSION DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Abstract

Five full length T shape extrusions of TZM wer made from 3200F illetatingtemperature with a reduction ratio of about 19:1. Liner pressure in excess of 200,000 psi was required to accomplish these extrusions. One full length extrusion was within size requirements. Surface quality was fair with some localized glass or die coating rub-in and striations. Corner and fillet r sl chage from fr nt to back. (Author)
