PROGRAMMED SATELLITE PASS CALCULATIONS,

Abstract

With a set of orbital elements as input, a program (KB02) computes the limits of a pass for a given site. The time and azimuth at which the satellite rises, the time and azimuth at which it sets, the azimuth, elevation, and range of the midpoint, and the orbital elements valid for the midpoint are computed. This program was written in support of the Lincoln Laboratory West Ford effort, but it has general application to various satellite-handling problems. (Author)
