EXPERIMENTS WITH THE MODEL OF THE HOMOGENEOUS ATMOSPHERE

Abstract

Since integration of unfiltered baroclinic models has shown numerical instability, tests were made with the simpler model of the homogeneous atmosphere to obtain some knowledge concerning the stability qualities of unfiltered finite difference equations. (Author)
