TESTS OF RADIO-FREQUENCY ATTENUATION DEVICES TEST PERIOD: SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER 1961

Abstract

I DENTIFIERS: NIKE ZEUS.Attenuation test results from four radio-frequency shielding devic s inst lled on a personnel door of an RF-shielded room are covere . An overlapping surface hatch door wa utiliz in these tests. The shieldi g devices te ted were: ( !) Monel m sh braided over neoprene rubber tubing, (2) beryllium copper finger stock, ( copp r esh over Tygon tubing, and (4 ave guide cavities. Satisfactory ielding was obtained with the beryllium copper finger stock device and with the copp r m h over Tygon tubing device; the endur nce properties of the copper mesh over Tygon tubing device were determined to be inadequate.
