INTEGRAL CAPSULAR RELAYS SINGLE-POLE, DOUBLE-THROW ENGINEERING TEST MODELS

Abstract

Performance and process capability data for the single-pole, double-throw contact module unimite relay are presented as frequency distribution charts and tabulated data. The data covers complete environmental and life tests of four lots of 75, 100, 30, and 75 relays. Results show that the relay now has design capability in excess of specification limits. Process capability is very good, and held the range on relay characteristics within specifications in all but a few scattered instances. Operating characteristics of final design relays show very little effect from exposure to environmentals, such as shock, vibration, acceleration, and tumbling. Tests such as load life and materials volatility produce permanent changes which are considered normal for this device. (Author)
