EVALUATION OF MOLYBDENUM METAL PRODUCED BY THE TIN REDUCTION OF MOLYBDENUM DISULPHIDE PROCESS

Abstract

Research is presented which deals with producing 200-300 lb of Mo metal powder by the NachtmannPoole process, conversion of the powder to arccast ingots, and testing physical and chemical properties of the metal produced. A comparison is made between the properties of Nachtmann-Poole molybdenum and commercial Mo metal. (Author)
