A WATER MODEL STUDY OF VORTEX FLOW IN COMBUSTION CHAMBERS

Abstract

The relationships that exist between the actual gas flow case in gas cylinders and the two dimensional, free-surface water model is used to study the effect of combustion chamber geometry on the induced flows, by determining approximate flow data from water models of several chambers of known engine performance.
