DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION REFINEMENT OF MIL-C-26518(USAF) CONNECTOR, ELECTRICAL MINIATURE, RACK AND PANEL ENVIRONMENTAL RESISTING 200 C AMBIENT TEMPERATURE

Abstract

The work effort was primarily directed towards the refinement of this connector product, resulting in the finalization of a low resistance, close entry, crimp type, removable contact and a monoblock connector construction capable of meeting the extreme environments promulgated by the specification. Connector performance characteristics at high altitude, in salt water altitude immersion, environmental vibration, and deleterious fluid immersion are discussed along with supporting test data.
