SOME APPLICATIONS OF THE QUOTIENT-DIFFERENCE ALGORITHM

Abstract

Quotient-Difference Algorithm is a body of mathematical knowledge that can be approached from the points of view of formal power series, difference equations, continued fractions, or orthogonal polynomials. Some applications of the algorithmARE DISCUSSED IN RELATION TO THE PROBLEM OF LOCATING ZEROS OF ANALYTIC FUNCTIONS AND TO THE COMPUTATION OF CONVERGENCE FACTORS FOR ASYMPTOTIC EXPANSIONS. (Author)
