PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE TUBE TYPE A2582A (RCA 7801)

Abstract

A production engineering study was conducted: (1) to complete feasibility studies of specified production processing areas; and (2) to make a pilot run of 200 tubes to demontrate a 100 per month capacity. Specific developments are reported in the following fields: grid-screen spacing; pilot line facilities; life test equipment; heater design; electrical dscharge machine instability; broach fabrication; parts fabrication methods; high energy rte forming of metal parts; and ultra-high vacuum applications.
