SIMILITUDE CONSIDERATIONS IN SPACE ENVIRONMENTAL SIMULATION

Abstract

Simulation of space environment has been examined on the basis of similitude considerations. Examples are given to indicate how subgravitational effects can be studied in an earth-bound laboratory. Conjectures are also made as to possible effects of subgravity on human locomotion and heart beat. It appears that much understanding of the subgravity effects on man can also be achieved by the use of similitude rules. The similitude considerations presented in this note can also be applieion.
