GALVANIC EFFECTS IN CD-DOPED AGBR

Abstract

Measurements of thermoelectric voltages are often plagued by the presence of 'spurious' and usually fluctuating voltages of equal or greater magnitude, especially in the alkali halides, hich are of primary interest. The thermoelectric voltage, occurring in the presence of a temperature gradient, and a polarization voltage resulting from the passage of electric current, are distinguished from a galvanic voltage, occurring in the absence of either of these impressed forces.
