NONLINEAR MICROWAVE DIELECTRIC MATERIALS

Abstract

High temperature microwave dielectric constants were measured for CaTiO3 and Ca0.2Sr0.8tiO3. Single crystal KTaO3 was prepared and its microwave dielectric constants and loss tangents were measured. Low frequency dielectric constants were measured for compounds from the ternary systems SrTi1-xSnxO3, B AHfxTi1-xO3 and from the quaternary system Ba1-xSrxHf1-yTiyO3. The nonlinearity coefficients for polycrystalline BST- 50 plus 1 percent SrSnO3 were measured at microwave and at low frequencies; the two results are in poor agreement. Low frequency measurements of nonlinearity in BST-50 plus 1 percent CaTiO3 were taken. (Author)
