EVALUATION OF NITRILE RUBBER SEALS FLUORINATED BY QUANTUM INCORPORATED

Abstract

ONE MINESWEEPER CONTROLLABLE PITCH PROPELLER BLADE SEAL AND FOUR O-rings were fluorinated by Quantum Incorporated. This treatment produced surface cracks on the sealing lips of the blade seal, but o visible damage was present in the O-riinated O-rings tested in an oscillatory test apparatus. (Author)
