Production Engineering of the M57 (T49E1) Electrical Firing Device
Abstract
A summary is given concerning production engineering of the T49E1 electric firing device. Basically it converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. This conversion is accomplished by triggering an armature through a magnetic field produced by permanent magnets. It is pointed out that the orientation of the component parts is vital, and any deviation in position may be enough to restrict the current flow and, thus, reduce the output.
