GENERATOR OF HIGH VOLTAGE PULSES OF NANOSECOND DURATION

Abstract

A description is off red of a s ort high voltage pulse generator, generating single pulses with an amplitude of 15 kv with front length of no less than 1 nanosec. and controllable duration in the interval of 10-40 nanosec. The generator consists of a forming cable, commuta ing polyelectrode discharger, transmission lines and devices for correcting the pulse front and for reducing its duration. The correction system includes a correcting capacitance and peaking discharger. The generator is simple in construction and in adjustment. (Author)
