DETERMINATION OF TRANSITION PROCESSES IN CONTINUOUS-ACTION HEAT EXCHANGERS,

Abstract

Differential equations are given in describing nonsteady-state processes in tube-in-tube type heat-exchanging devices and approximate solutions involving expansion into convergent series are examined. These solutions in the four exponential functions are also examined. The errors permitted in the approximate solutions are fully justified by the simplicity of the expressions obtained. It is easier, as a rule, to analyze the dependence of the processes on the parameters of the apparatus and the regime of its operation by using approximate solutions. The errors of the approximate representation of transition processes may be evaluated by a comparison with expeimental data. (Autho )
