DEEP-OCEAN STUDIES, SERVICE VEHICLE

Abstract

A survey was conducted to determine present capability for deep-ocean work. A summary of previous underwater experience and a brief description of 18 different underwater-vehicle concepts and prototypes are given. Criteria are provided as a basis for the design of two suitable vehicles for the construction and maintenance of deep-ocean structures. (Author)
