AOMC CLIMATOLOGICAL RINGBOOK. PART XXIII. EMPIRICAL FREQUENCY DISTRIBUTIONS OF WIND COMPONENTS AT CONSTANT ALTITUDE LEVELS. EL PASO, TEXAS

Abstract

Climatological parameters are presented for scalar winds, zonal and meridional wind components, semiplanar winds and wind shear at 1-km altitude intervals for the location El Paso, Texas. The frequency distributions are established for the 12 monthly and the annual reference periods with values of cumulative percentage frequency corresponding to the mean and plus and minus one, two and three sigma levels of normal distribution. The statistical information is based on the observational period 1951 - 1957. (Author)
