A POSSIBLE METHOD OF IMPROVING THE ZEROTH ORDER CURRENT DISTRIBUTION FOR A HALFWAVE DIPOLE

Abstract

An outline is presented of a new and entirely numerical approach to the question of current distribution of a dipole antenna. The current is approximated by a superposition of sinusoidal arcs, which are chosen so that the boundary conditions on the surface of the antenna are satisfied at n discrete points. The method leads to n simultaneous equations, which can be solved using a computer. (Author)
