PRELIMINARY RESULTS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A BONDED POLARISCOPE FOR PHOTOVISCOELASTICITY

Abstract

A bonded polariscope procedure is being developed for use in viscoelastic models. To date, a method has been developed for use at strain levels as high as 6.1 percent with minimum polariscope model interaction. The structural problems associated with the procedure are discussed in detail, a partial solution is described, and the future program is o utlined. (Author)
