THE STRUCTURING OF SOCIOLOGICAL SPACES

Abstract

The concept of level in social theory is discussed by participants (Professors Guttman, Suppes, Lazarsfeld, and Langerhans) at a seminar on the mathematics of social theory. The existence of a common space for the ordering of theories is questioned, and various approaches to the problem of relating social theories to empirical data are presented. (Author)
