WIND TUNNEL STUDY OF TURBULENCE IN THE BEAR MOUNTAIN WAKE

Abstract

A topographical scale model of Bear Mountain and the surrounding terrain is nearing completion. A constant temperature hot-wire anemometer has been acquired by the University and will be used where possible in the experiments. Soap bubble and smoke photography techniques ARE BEING DEVELOPED TO SUPPLEMENT THE HOT-WIRE TECHNIQUE IN THE REGION OF VERY HIGH TURBULENCE IN THE LEE OF THE MOUNTAIN. (Author)
